NASA will hold a press conference on Thursday with what is being reported as a "major" announcement regarding the Martian atmosphere.
A truly major announcement would be one of two things: A: NASA reveals that it is possible to teraform Mars or B: NASA reveals the Martian atmosphere data collected from the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) probe indicates that the Red Planet was once teeming with life.
But most likely the "major" announcement will anticlimactically consist of data from MAVEN proving there is a strong possibility of microbial life on Mars today, which I think most everyone and their uncles already know is likely to be true. That is just the team's guess here at Futureslaver HQ.
The news conference will kick off at 2:00 PM EST (1900 GMT). The conference will be held in NASA's Washington Headquarters at the James Webb Auditorium. Watch live -- here --..
