KIC 8462852, otherwise known as Tabby's Star, continues to freak out astronomers as it flickers and dims in ways that defy explanation. This outer space oddity will just not behave normally and now scientists are left to urgently find a good enough theory of a non-ET nature that will put to bed the crazy notion of advanced aliens in the middle of a colossal construction project. Experts on the subject generally agree that classifying the anomaly as an alien megastructure would be the last resort, so they will continue observing the star, and collecting data to provide more insight as to what the hell is going on. Astronomers are excited to get a glimpse of a comet that will be close enough to see with the naked eye in the southern hemisphere, provided the city lights don't block the view. According to astronomical sources, this will be the closest a comet has passed by Earth since 1770.

Saturn's Ocean Moon Enceladus Flyby

Remember not too long ago when it was revealed that one of Saturn's moons, Enceladus, was ejecting ice plumes? Images revealed massive geysers spraying plumes far above its surface. Since then NASA has been studying the moon with the Cassini spacecraft as it passes in orbit. On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, Cassini will fly through ice plumes for tens of seconds and collect data via its on-board sensors.

“We’re going to be scraping over the south pole (of Enceladus) at around 19,000 mph, just 30 miles above the surface, and we’re going to go right through the plume,” said Cassini’s project manager, Earl Maize, from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

As reported in an earlier article, the coolest star in the universe with the catchiest name, KIC 8462852, was observed by the Kepler team to mysteriously lose a considerable amount of its light for prolonged periods of time and to such a degree not consistent with a giant planet blocking out light as it passes in orbit. In short, a planet the size of Jupiter could only block out 1% of the star's light, whereas at times as much as 22% of KIC's light decreases. This means a meteor field surrounding the star is very unlikely as whatever is surrounding it must be tightly interlocked - according to experts.

Basically, what is being observed is a pattern of diminishing and growing light coming from the star with the catchiest name in the galaxy, KIC 8462852.
