3D Printer And Smart Phone All In One

OLO is just finishing up a highly successful Kickstarter campaign to integrate a 3D printer into a smart phone in what they are touting as the first ever smart phone 3D printer. The pledge goal is listed as 80 thousand and it looks like OLO will reach near 2 million in donations.

The OLO gadget is expected to sell for a mere 99 dollars. Anyway, does it really surprise anyone that 3D printing and the smart phone are merging? Think of all the gadgets that used to sell as stand alone products which were integrated into the phone. My personal favorite is the flashlight and, of course, who could forget when a GPS system ran for over 300 dollars? Those were the days. From the looks of it the 3D printer phone should be ideal for creating arts and crafts. Braces perhaps? After learning of the college student who made some DIY homemade braces, it seems quite reasonable that an orthodontist app will arrive on the scene.
