A Drone Walking A Dog?

A drone walking a dog is a nice idea in terms of giving Spot lots of the exercise he needs daily. The video below demonstrates how easy this will be with an app that will remotely control a drone via a map routing interface and, thus, take Spot around the block or however you want to set it up.

I am a bit skeptical. You see, I've owned dogs and as we all know, they tend to drag us around - even the little ones. It's no surprise that the dog in the video is a retriever and, obviously, well trained. So, yes, it looks like it will work for seeing eye dogs, perhaps, but the run of the mill dog is going to pull the drone which will most likely crash and burn. A robot, on the other hand, should be able to have enough weight to pull Fido around. Just make sure the dog isn't a threat to bite anyone because the robot isn't going to be able to stop the dog from going after mailmen, cats, squirrels, cars or whatever else it wants to chomp on. Then the next thing you know you're in court with a hefty lawsuit being waged against you and your robot dog walker.  Check out the video and be sure to mute the sound as the soundtrack is horrible.

  1. Dogs need a certain amount of exercise each day. Small breeds do not need as much as large breeds do, but both types need about 1 to 2 hours daily. If the dogs do not get the right amount of activity, they can become bored and mischievous. If your life is too hectic to walk your dog this amount of time daily, you might need to hire a dog walker.Attleboro Dog Walker
