Author Nick Bostrom is known for a very interesting book about artificial intelligence titled Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies. The non-fiction work covers nearly every imaginable way the evolution of artificial intelligence could play out in a displeasing fashion. The singularitarians refer to that as the Existential Risk to Humanity. Bostrom is a professor of philosophy at Oxford, but in his off time he travels the world, lecturing A.I. companies and academia on the subcategory of machine-learning: Dystopian Robot Hell. He's sort of the Sarah Connor of intellectuals.
