Pokémon GO Trending As Latest Fad

Niantic Labs' new app "Pokémon Go" seems to be catching on in a big way, so I thought let's give it a gander. For the purpose of this article I went ahead and downloaded the app. The installation experience went quite smoothly. You can sign in via a Google account or a "Trainer Account." Once logged in a short demo covers the simple yet fun exploration game.

This is an "augmented reality" exploration game. There have been other AR games (the titles escape me). One I tested around five years ago was interesting but not nearly as slick as Pokémon Go, since you know... it was five years ago and so much has changed technologically - allowing for a better AR exploration game.

So what you do in the game is collect Pokémon by travelling in the real world. The way to detect and catch Pokémon is by looking through the phone camera (which is obviously displayed in the game). Niantic Labs uses a private algorithm to send Pokémon to landmarks and places of business...., for example a coffee shop or a park where a Pokémon with an accompanying message will be displayed.

In short, the Futureslaver Team recommends learning up on Pokémon and Pokémon Go so you aren't left out in the cold and can understand the New Nerd Order which is about to take hold. The New Nerd Order will hijack all businesses and social gatherings with their massive numbers of explorers peering into their phones like amateur sleuths peering into magnifying glasses. They better buy something from businesses where they find Pokémon hiding out and they better tip well!

Pokémon Go offers people out and about a little adventure and a way to make the mundane a little less annoying. Maybe during a trip to the horrid, godawful DMV a Pokémon will appear and make your day, or perhaps a Pokémon appears during a dental procedure at the dentist office (you really should cut down on the Novocaine).
