In an interesting turn of events, NASA has entered a new part of space - Cyberspace - in an attempt to compete with Google's search engine. The area of cyberspace NASA is especially keen on is called "the deep web." The deep web accounts for a whopping
96% of all internet data. So exactly what is NASA thinking? Well, they must be thinking that their search engine A.I. creepers and crawlers will have a large edge over Google's A.I. search engine, in essence claiming a monopoly over internet data.
Once implemented, web surfers using NASA's search will instantly notice millions of abandoned blogs, social media tweets such as "using the can #ahhhh," all sorts of offensive porn (sex with clowns, etc) and more libertarian conspiracy theory manifestos than there are stars in a galaxy -- that's 100 billion in the Milky Way alone.
